A national competition by Startup India for school and college students, awarding cash prizes for innovative prototypes and MVPs across key sectors.
The National Startup Awards 6.0, featuring a special category for Student Innovators and Aspiring Entrepreneurs, is a prestigious initiative by Startup India, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. This program aims to ignite and foster innovation and entrepreneurial spirit among young minds across India, from school-aged children to undergraduate students. By recognizing and rewarding student-led projects, the award seeks to identify and promote early-stage solutions that address real-world problems with clear potential for scalability and significant impact.
Participants are encouraged to develop their ideas into tangible outputs such as prototypes, Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), working models, or proofs of concept. The projects must align with one of seven crucial "Shakti Ki Sapta Dhara" national development streams, covering diverse areas like Manufacturing, Agriculture and Food Processing, Technology and Innovation, Gati Shakti connectivity, Defence Shakti, Green and Blue Economy, and Soft Power. This platform provides aspiring entrepreneurs with an unparalleled opportunity to gain national recognition, receive mentorship, and secure initial financial support to propel their innovative ventures forward, contributing to India's entrepreneurial ecosystem from the grassroots level.
