AIC BAMU Foundation
An incubation program offering a monthly stipend and comprehensive support to eligible Maharashtra residents from specific communities to build scalable technology startups.
The Sarsenapati Santaji Ghorpade SARTHI Entrepreneurship Development (Incubation) Initiative is a significant program aimed at fostering technology-driven entrepreneurship among specific communities in Maharashtra. Hosted at the AIC BAMU Foundation in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, this initiative is a collaborative effort with SARTHI (Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research, Training and Human Development Institute), Pune, an autonomous body under the Government of Maharashtra. The program is designed to identify and nurture innovative technology business ideas, providing the necessary guidance and facilities to transform them into viable, scalable startups within a one-year timeframe. Each of SARTHI's 13 incubation centers, including AIC BAMU, will support 10 new entrepreneurs per cohort. This structured support system is crucial for early-stage founders who require not only financial assistance but also strategic mentorship, access to resources, and a conducive environment to develop their ventures. The program emphasizes full-time commitment from participants and requires a well-articulated business plan and investment proposal, ensuring that only dedicated and promising entrepreneurs are selected. It aims to empower individuals from specific caste categories within Maharashtra, contributing to inclusive economic growth and a vibrant startup ecosystem in the state.
