TIH IIT Bombay
A project grant up to ₹25 lakhs by TIH IIT Bombay for Scheduled Tribe faculty, researchers, or startups developing application-oriented IoT technologies for ST communities in India.
The Technology Innovation Hub at IIT Bombay (TIH-IoT) is dedicated to fostering the commercialization of cutting-edge technologies and bridging the critical gap between academic research and industrial application, particularly within the domains of Internet of Things (IoT) and Internet of Everything (IoE). This Call for Proposals (TDP Call for Proposal 2026 (10)) is specifically designed to invite innovative proposals from Scheduled Tribe (ST) faculty, researchers, startup employees, and institutions across India that employ ST staff. The core objective is to drive the development, deployment, and advancement of application-oriented IoT technologies that deliver substantial benefits to Scheduled Tribe communities nationwide.
This initiative aims to identify and support promising technologies that have matured beyond their initial research phases, demonstrating a clear potential for real-world deployment, rigorous technology validation, and eventual commercialization. The ultimate goal is to generate impactful solutions that directly uplift and empower the Scheduled Tribe community. Proposals are sought for innovative and practical IoT applications that address pressing challenges across a variety of sectors. These include, but are not limited to, critical areas such as Agriculture and AgriTech, Water Management, Healthcare and MedTech, Industrial IoT, and Supply Chain and Logistics, alongside other emerging IoT application domains. Through this program, TIH-IoT seeks to empower innovators to create solutions that not only advance technology but also foster inclusive growth and development.
