UP Startup Week PoC Work Order

Two startups per sector win a government work order of up to ₹15 lakh and ₹10 lakh to prove their concept at UP Startup Week.

Uttar Pradesh celebrates Startup Week every year. Startups are invited through an expression of interest in a set of selected sectors for a proof-of-concept opportunity with the state government.

A panel of government officials, industry players, investors, mentors and bankers evaluates the pitches. Two startups from each selected sector are chosen and awarded a work order — a maximum of INR 15 lakh for the first and INR 10 lakh for the second — to prove their concept.

The policy expects UP Startup Mission to extend a proof-of-concept opportunity to around 14 startups a year through Startup Week. Unlike a grant, this is paid work: you deliver the concept the department wants tested.
