Tripura Udyam ZED Extra Subsidy

One-time extra subsidy for Udyam-registered, ZED-certified MSMEs in Tripura, up to Rs.10.00 lakhs on the highest plant-and-machinery slab.

The Tripura Industrial Investment Promotion Incentives Scheme, 2022 (TIIPIS 2022), administered by the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Tripura, pays a one-time additional subsidy to MSMEs that are registered on the Udyam portal and that have obtained ZED Certification from the Ministry of MSME.

The stated break-up is sized by investment made in plant and machinery — those crore bands are eligibility slabs, not the award: (a) plant and machinery up to 1.00 Cr, maximum of Rs.2.00 lakhs; (b) plant and machinery from 1.00 Cr to 10 Cr, maximum of Rs.5.00 lakhs; (c) plant and machinery above 10 Cr, maximum of Rs.10.00 lakhs. The highest rupee award in the clause is therefore Rs.10.00 lakhs. Do not read the 1.00 Cr or 10 Cr plant-and-machinery bands as the subsidy itself.

Treat this incentive as its own program. It is incentive 12 of TIIPIS 2022, claimed through that scheme's process, and distinct from the main capital investment subsidy and from the standard-certification reimbursement. It is a one-time extra incentive on top of the rest of TIIPIS, not a recurring yearly head. Applications still go through the State's SWAAGAT single-window portal at https://swaagat.tripura.gov.in/ on a rolling basis, with no advertised closing date.

The money is a reimbursement-style State subsidy, not a loan and not equity. The unit must already be an MSME on Udyam and must already hold ZED certification from the Ministry of MSME; the claim then sits on the plant-and-machinery slab that matches the investment actually made. There is no stated sector list in this clause and no DPIIT Startup India mandate. Founders keep their equity. The subsidy is not repayable. The Department verifies Udyam registration, the ZED certificate, and the plant-and-machinery investment before placing the unit in the Rs.2.00 lakh, Rs.5.00 lakh, or Rs.10.00 lakh slab.
