50% reimbursement of transport cost of secondary raw materials and packaging raw materials on the railway standard parcel rate.
The Tripura Industrial Investment Promotion Incentives Scheme, 2022 (TIIPIS 2022), administered by the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Tripura, reimburses half the cost of moving certain raw materials that local industry needs but does not always produce on site.
The stated quantum is 50% reimbursement of the transportation cost of secondary raw materials for local resource based industry, and of raw materials required for manufacturing of packaging materials in the packaging industries in the State. Transport subsidy is provided for transportation of raw materials from the nearest railway station of the seller to the nearest railway station of the buyer as per the Railway Standard Parcel Rate. The clause states a 50% rate and names that railway parcel-rate basis; it does not state a rupee ceiling, so this program carries no amount_min or amount_max.
Treat this incentive as its own program. It is incentive 11 of TIIPIS 2022, claimed through that scheme's process, and distinct from the export-promotion subsidy (a share of Bangladesh export value) and from the fairs-and-exhibitions head (travel to fairs). It is open on a rolling basis with no advertised closing date. Applications go through the State's SWAAGAT single-window portal at https://swaagat.tripura.gov.in/.
The money is a reimbursement, not a loan and not equity. The unit buys the qualifying secondary or packaging raw materials, moves them between the seller's and the buyer's nearest railway stations, and then claims 50% of that haul as measured on the Railway Standard Parcel Rate — not an open-ended road-freight bill that sits above that benchmark. There is no stated DPIIT Startup India mandate in this clause and no requirement to relocate. Founders keep their equity. The reimbursement is not repayable. The Department verifies that the claimant is local resource based industry or a packaging-material manufacturer in Tripura, that the cargo is secondary raw material or packaging raw material, and that the claim is computed on the railway parcel rate between the two nearest stations.
