Tripura Export Promotion Subsidy

Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Tripura

About This Scheme

10% reimbursement of goods exported to Bangladesh through Tripura land custom stations, ceiling Rs.50 lakhs a year.

The Tripura Industrial Investment Promotion Incentives Scheme, 2022 (TIIPIS 2022), administered by the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Tripura, includes an export-promotion reimbursement aimed at units that manufacture in the State and move goods to Bangladesh through the Land Custom Stations in Tripura.

The stated quantum is 10% reimbursement of the value of those goods, subject to an upper ceiling of Rs.50 lakhs per annum. The 10% is a rate, not an award amount; the rupee cap that belongs on this program is Rs.50 lakhs a year. The clause is limited to items manufactured in the State, and the enterprise must achieve at least 20% value addition within Tripura. Goods merely transited through Tripura without that manufacturing and value-addition test do not qualify.

Treat this incentive as its own program. It is incentive 9 of TIIPIS 2022, claimed through that scheme's process, and distinct from capital subsidy, GST reimbursement, the fairs-and-exhibitions head, and the State transport subsidy. It is open on a rolling basis with no advertised closing date. Applications go through the State's SWAAGAT single-window portal at https://swaagat.tripura.gov.in/.

The money is a reimbursement, not a loan and not equity. The unit exports, records the value of goods that moved to Bangladesh through a Land Custom Station in the State, and then claims 10% of that value, up to the yearly ceiling of Rs.50 lakhs. There is no stated sector list beyond manufacturing-in-State, no DPIIT Startup India mandate in this clause, and no requirement to relocate. Founders keep their equity. The reimbursement is not repayable. The Department verifies export documents, the Land Custom Station route, manufacturing in Tripura, and the 20% value-addition test before release.
