Nagaland IP & Patent Cost Reimbursement

Nagaland reimburses 100% of intellectual property, GI tag and patent filing costs for new enterprises set up in the State.

Clause 6.14 of NTIIP 2025 removes the cost barrier to protecting intellectual property. The State provides 100% of the cost of intellectual property, GI tag and patent filing to all new enterprises set up in Nagaland. Full cost coverage is unusually generous — most State policies cap IP support at a percentage or a rupee ceiling — and it is particularly relevant for Nagaland producers pursuing GI registration for local products. The policy clause states the rate only and does not set a rupee ceiling.
