Bihar Textile Patent Subsidy 2022

Bihar reimburses textile and leather units 50% of patent registration expenditure, up to ₹10 lakh per patent.

Under the Bihar Textile & Leather Policy, 2022 (incentive 5), Category A and B textile and leather units can claim back half of what they spend on registering a patent. The reimbursement is capped at ₹10 lakh per patent, and within that, expenditure on filing the patent, attorney fees and patent tracking is capped at ₹4 lakh. The total patent subsidy a unit can draw is ₹10 lakh.

The incentive is administered by the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar and is claimed under the policy's standard application process through the state single window.
