Punjab MSME Trade Fair Rent Subsidy

Punjab pays half the stall rent (up to ₹5 lakh) for international trade fairs and a quarter (up to ₹3 lakh) for domestic ones.

Clause 12.8 D 19 of Punjab's Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022 helps MSMEs show their products at local, national and international events by subsidising stall rent. For participation in International Trade Fairs abroad the State pays 50% of total rent, limited to ₹5 lakh. For Domestic Trade Fairs and Exhibitions it pays 25% of total rent, limited to ₹3 lakh. Space at the Punjab pavilion in Progressive Punjab events and conferences is provided at nil charge. Rent is usually the single largest line in an exhibition budget, so the scheme is aimed at units that have a sellable product but cannot justify the cost of an overseas booth on their own.
