Punjab Design Clinic Subsidy for MSMEs

About This Scheme

Punjab reimburses the ₹1 lakh per-programme industry contribution an MSME pays for NID Ahmedabad design awareness programmes.

Clause 12.8 D 17 of Punjab's Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022 supports MSMEs taking part in the Design Clinic Scheme run with the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. Design awareness programmes under that scheme require a contribution from participating industry; Punjab reimburses that contribution at ₹1 lakh per programme. The intent is to get small manufacturers to treat industrial and product design as a competitiveness lever rather than an optional cost, by making participation in NID's awareness programmes effectively free for the unit.

Benefits

  • Punjab reimburses the industry contribution of ₹1 lakh per programme for a design awareness programme conducted by the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.
  • It is a cash reimbursement to the participating MSME — no equity, nothing repayable — and it comes with the substantive benefit of NID-led design exposure for the unit's team.
