Department of Industries, Government of Himachal Pradesh (Startup Himachal)
This scheme provides MSMEs in Himachal Pradesh with a reimbursement of 25% on the expenditure incurred for purchasing Plant & Machinery to set up Effluent Treatment Plants and Rainwater Harvesting Systems, up to a maximum of INR 2 lakhs.
The Reimbursement for Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) & Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) System P&M is a key incentive under the Himachal Pradesh Industrial Investment Policy 2019. This scheme is designed to encourage Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) within the state to adopt environmentally friendly practices and infrastructure. By offering financial support for the acquisition of essential plant and machinery, the Government of Himachal Pradesh aims to promote sustainable industrial development and resource conservation. The incentive specifically targets investments in Effluent Treatment Plants, which are crucial for managing industrial wastewater and minimizing pollution, and Rainwater Harvesting Systems, vital for water conservation and sustainable water management within industrial premises. This initiative helps MSMEs reduce their environmental footprint and comply with regulatory standards, contributing to a greener industrial ecosystem in the state. It mitigates the financial burden associated with establishing such critical environmental infrastructure, making it more feasible for smaller businesses to invest in long-term sustainability. The policy reflects the state's commitment to balancing industrial growth with ecological responsibility, supporting businesses that integrate environmental protection into their operations. This proactive approach ensures that new and existing MSMEs can access the necessary capital support to implement sustainable practices, thereby fostering a responsible and environmentally conscious industrial sector in Himachal Pradesh.
