About This Scheme
Status: closed. TANSEED is StartupTN's flagship seed-funding program for early-stage Tamil Nadu startups, now in its 8th round. It is a support equity-linked grant: in exchange for funding and a year-long accelerator program, selected startups give a 3% support stake to StartupTN.
Eligibility Criteria
- Startups registered in Tamil Nadu
- Eligible stage: early stage
- Priority given to startups that have not previously received funding
Benefits
- Tamil Nadu government's TANSEED seed-funding program provides equity-linked grants of Rs 10-15 lakh plus a year-long accelerator to early-stage startups, in exchange for a 3% support stake

Applications accepted in fixed cohorts/windows, not rolling; Applications for TANSEED 8.0 were open December 6-20, 2025, with reports of the window closing around January 30, 2026;
