About This Scheme

The MIDC Innovation Grand Challenge 2026 invites students, startups and innovators to put forward ready-to-implement solutions for pressing sustainability and infrastructure challenges in MIDC's industrial estates.

The MIDC Innovation Grand Challenge 2026, launched by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, aims to foster innovation in addressing critical sustainability and infrastructure challenges within MIDC's vast network of industrial estates. This initiative calls upon students, startups, and independent innovators to develop and propose ready-to-implement solutions. The focus areas span from fundamental issues like road maintenance (pothole detection and repair) and environmental concerns such as carbon emissions and wastewater management, to pioneering green energy adoption and leveraging AI for smarter industrial infrastructure. The ultimate goal is to transform MIDC industrial estates into sustainable, efficient, and future-ready hubs, benefiting industries, workers, and local communities across Maharashtra. This challenge offers a unique platform for innovators to contribute directly to public infrastructure development and create scalable solutions.
