100x100
100x100 is a Singapore-based climate venture builder and fund that co-creates and invests equity in early-stage decarbonization companies with experienced founders across Southeast Asia and India, providing initial capital and follow-on rounds.
100x100 is a pioneering climate venture builder and venture capital fund, headquartered in Singapore. Formerly known as Wavemaker Impact, the firm rebranded in October 2025 to solidify its commitment to tackling global climate challenges. Unlike traditional venture capital firms that invest in existing startups, 100x100 takes a unique co-creation approach, building companies from the ground up alongside experienced founders and operators.
The core of 100x100's model involves identifying high-emissions problem areas, then engineering innovative solutions that offer a "green discount" – a compelling cost or economic advantage while simultaneously cutting emissions. This involves rigorous validation with potential customers before officially launching a new company.
The firm engages with over 1,000 prospective founders annually, actively seeking individuals with deep operational expertise to partner with. Once a partnership is formed, 100x100 embeds deeply with the nascent company for approximately the first 18 months, providing hands-on support to help the venture achieve product-market fit. This intensive collaboration is designed to increase the probability of success and establish a strong foundation for growth.
Following this initial venture-building phase, 100x100 facilitates access to significant follow-on capital. Its inaugural Fund I, a US$60 million fund closed in 2023, successfully co-founded 27 companies across 8 countries, demonstrating a portfolio survival rate nearly double the VC median. Fund II, targeting US$100 million, aims to replicate and expand this success by building approximately 50 new climate companies across the high-growth markets of Southeast Asia and India, with India being a central focus for this new fund.
