UX Imperium

Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), Delhi

About This Scheme

A two-phased UX design hackathon by NSUT Delhi — teams build scalable design systems and face real-time challenges for a ₹15,000 prize pool.

UX Imperium is a cutting-edge, two-phased UX design hackathon organised by D’Code NSUT, the technical society of Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), Delhi. This competition pushes the boundaries of user experience and creative problem-solving — it's not just about making a beautiful app, but about building a robust, scalable design system under pressure.

Who Should Apply Open to students and early-career designers, developers, and product enthusiasts across India. Teams of 2–4 members. Individual participants can form teams during registration.

Format & Timeline The competition unfolds in two phases

  • Judging Criteria Judging is based on creativity, usability, scalability of the design system, and ability to handle constraints.
  • AI tools may only be used for basic assets (icons, minor illustrations).
  • Generating entire screens, layouts, or written content via AI is strictly prohibited and will lead to disqualification.
  • Prizes
  • Eligibility Teams of 2–4 members. Participants must bring their own laptops and chargers for the offline round (basic Wi-Fi will be provided).
  • About the Organiser Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), Delhi, is a premier engineering institution in India.
  • D’Code NSUT is its official technical society, known for organising hackathons, workshops, and tech events that foster innovation among students.
  • How to Apply Register via the Unstop link provided. Registration closes on August 13, 2026.

Benefits

  • Winning teams take home cash prizes from a ₹15,000 pool: ₹7,000 for the winner, ₹5,000 for 1st runner-up, and ₹3,000 for 2nd runner-up.
  • All winners also receive certificates.
  • Prize money is awarded based on judged performance across the two-round competition — an online design submission round followed by an on-campus finale at NSUT — rather than as project funding, so teams keep full ownership of their work and owe nothing back.
