Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS)

Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), implemented by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI)

About This Scheme

Status: active. A comprehensive incubation scheme entrusted by MeitY to STPI, targeting startups working on software product development (including embedded electronics) located in 12 Tier-II cities. Support includes physical workspace, software product security testing, mentoring, VC networking, cloud credits, advisory services and a monthly pre-incubation stipend of Rs 10,000 for six months.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Startups developing software products (including embedded electronics)
  • Startup must be based in one of the 12 designated Tier-II locations

Benefits

Seed funding of up to Rs 25 lakh per startup under a scheme with a total outlay of Rs 95.03 crore over 3 years, targeting 300 startups across 12 Tier-II Indian cities.
