A Bihar state-sponsored loan scheme providing up to ₹5 lakh at 5% interest to minority youth for employment and income-generation activities.
The "Mukhyamantri Alpsankhyak Rozgar Rinn Yojana" scheme, launched by the Minority Welfare Department, Government of Bihar, aims to empower youth from minority communities (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, and Parsi) by providing financial assistance for self-employment. The scheme offers loans of up to ₹5,00,000/- at a simple annual interest rate of 5%. The primary objective is to facilitate employment generation and income-generating activities among minority youth in Bihar. The loan must be repaid in 20 quarterly installments over a 5-year period. This initiative is state-sponsored and is implemented by the Bihar State Minorities Financial Corporation Limited (BSMFC). The program's design ensures that financial support reaches individuals directly, fostering entrepreneurship and economic independence within the target communities. It addresses the financial barriers faced by minority youth who aspire to start their own businesses or expand existing small enterprises, contributing to the state's economic development and social inclusion.
