The Sona Comstar IIT Delhi Innovation Program (SCIDIP) is a strategic initiative designed to foster and accelerate innovative solutions within the Electric Mobility, Advanced Batteries, Industry 4.0, Advanced Materials, Charging Infrastructure, and Sustainable Mobility sectors. This program is a collaboration between Sona Comstar, a leading automotive technology company, and FITT (Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer) at IIT Delhi, aiming to leverage deep technological expertise and industrial insights to support promising startups. The core objective is to identify and nurture disruptive ideas that can significantly impact the future of travel and industrial applications, moving beyond existing solutions.
SCIDIP specifically targets concepts and ideas with strong intellectual property potential and clear translational or commercial prospects. It provides a robust platform for startups to validate their proof of concept and generate the necessary scientific and technical data to de-risk their technologies, making them more attractive to future investors and funding programs.
