About This Scheme

A 12-hour innovation sprint at SRM University AP, challenging undergraduate students to develop tech solutions for UN Sustainable Development Goals, with a ₹20,000 prize pool.

The Global Goals Hackathon 2026 is an intensive 12-hour innovation sprint hosted by SRM University AP in collaboration with AIESEC. This event challenges undergraduate students to develop technology-driven solutions that address real-world problems aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants will engage in a collaborative environment, leveraging their skills to create impactful solutions for social, environmental, and economic issues, while connecting with a global network of youth leaders.

Who Should Apply This hackathon is open to all undergraduate students. Participants can register individually or form teams of 2 to 4 members. While not mandatory, a basic understanding of coding, design principles, or general problem-solving methodologies is preferred to maximize the learning and building experience.

Tracks / Themes The competition will feature problem statements directly derived from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. These themes will cover a broad spectrum of global challenges, encouraging participants to innovate across various domains such as climate action, quality education, sustainable cities, and more.

Format & Timeline The hackathon is a 12-hour event, commencing at 10:00 PM on April 25th and concluding at 10:00 AM on April 26th. The format includes:

Prizes A total cash prize pool of ₹20,000 will be awarded to the winning teams. Additionally, all participants will receive certificates of participation, acknowledging their efforts and engagement. The event also offers invaluable networking opportunities with the AIESEC global community and exposure to real-world problem-solving scenarios.

Eligibility Open to all undergraduate students. Teams can consist of 1 to 4 members. Basic knowledge in coding (JavaScript, Python, C++), UI/UX design, or problem-solving is recommended. All work must be original and created during the hackathon; plagiarism or pre-built projects will result in disqualification.

How to Apply The registration deadline for the Global Goals Hackathon 2026 is April 24, 2026. Interested students should register through the official Unstop platform to secure their spot.
