About This Scheme

35%–50% grant for cold chain, food processing parks and unit infrastructure

Umbrella scheme for food processing infrastructure with multiple sub-schemes: (a) Mega Food Park — up to ₹50 crore grant per park. (b) Integrated Cold Chain & Value Addition — 35%–50% grant of eligible project cost. (c) Agro-Processing Clusters — up to ₹10 crore per cluster. (d) Unit Scheme — grant for individual processing units. Covers fruits & vegetables, dairy, meat/poultry/fishery, RTE/RTC foods, cereals, spices, honey, beverages.

Benefits

  • PMKSY offers substantial capital grants across four sub-schemes: Mega Food Parks receive up to ₹50 crore per park for shared processing infrastructure
  • Integrated Cold Chain and Value Addition projects receive 35–50% of eligible project cost
  • Agro-Processing Clusters receive up to ₹10 crore
  • and individual processing units receive grants under the Unit Scheme. All grants are non-repayable and no equity is taken. The scheme covers a wide range of food categories including fruits and vegetables, dairy, meat/poultry/fishery, RTE/RTC foods, cereals, spices, honey, and beverages. Projects must be backed by term loans from scheduled commercial banks.
