Eligibility Criteria for Dr. E Palmer Patterson II Graduate Scholarship in Indigenous Histories

  • Applicants must: Be full-time Master’s or Doctoral students in the Department of History Study or research topics related to the histories of the Indigenous Peoples of Canada Have a minimum cumulative average of 80% over the last two full-time academic years Demonstrate strong interest and engagement in Indigenous histories and Indigenous Studies.
  • Value of Dr. E Palmer Patterson II Graduate Scholarship in Indigenous Histories: One scholarship valued at CAD $1,500 is awarded annually.

Application Process

  • Interested students must submit a 500–750 word letter outlining their interest in and engagement with Indigenous Studies by the deadline announced by the Department of History.
  • Selection is conducted by the Department of History Graduate Studies Committee.
