Eligibility Criteria for English Rhetoric Essay Award

Applicants Must: Be a Master’s or Doctoral student Be registered full-time in the Department of English Language and Literature (or have been within the past calendar year) Have submitted a strong essay in a course during the academic year Demonstrate academic excellence in rhetorical or literary writing.

Value of English Rhetoric Essay Award

Two awards, each valued at $400, will be given annually to graduate students who are or who have been registered full-time in the Department of English Language and Literature within the past calendar year.

No application is required. Selection is made automatically by a departmental committee based on essays submitted in coursework.
