Eligibility Criteria for Marie Curie Graduate Student Award (Marie Curie GSA)

  • Applicants must: Be enrolled full-time in a thesis-based Master’s or Doctoral program in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Faculty of Science.
  • Be within the first 6 terms of a Master’s program or first 12 terms of a PhD (extended limits apply for direct-entry PhD students).
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative average of 80% or equivalent.
  • Be selected based on demonstrated academic excellence.
  • Value of Marie Curie Graduate Student Award (Marie Curie GSA): The award provides up to CAD $20,000 per year per student.
  • The actual amount varies depending on funding availability and departmental allocation.
  • Application Process: No application is required.
  • Eligible students are automatically considered and may be nominated by their program to the Graduate Committee in Physics and Astronomy.
