The Executive Vice President of Health Sciences Scholarship supports current WSU Health Sciences students who demonstrate leadership, community engagement, and a commitment to health equity and the university’s mission.

  • Eligibility Criteria for the Executive Vice President of Health Sciences Scholarship: The applicants can be of any nationality.
  • The applicants must be either undergraduates or graduate professional students who will be enrolled in a health sciences curriculum.

Application Process

  • The application process must include: Completed Scholarship Application.
  • List of leadership positions at WSU (may include clubs, organizations, committees, etc).
  • List of campus and community organizations or projects the applicant has been involved with since becoming a WSU student.
  • Answers to the following three questions: Briefly describing the student's philosophy of health care providers as community leaders and and how their community engagement demonstrates that philosophy.
  • Briefly explaining thoughts about health equity and commitment to health equity as a student and as a professional.
  • Describe how the student resonate the vision and mission of WSU Health Sciences.

Applications and applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:Co

  • These are one-year, non-renewable awards.
  • Students must write thank you letters to receive the award.
