The University Grants Commission, Government of India, is offering the National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies 2025 to students who are accepted into the first year of a postgraduate degree program. For two years, the chosen students would receive monthly financial help of INR 15,000 for ten months to pursue higher education in India.

• Eligibility Criteria for National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies 2025: Students need to be an Indian national.
• Students should be admitted in the first year of the postgraduate degree program in a recognized university/college/institution in India.
• The scholarship is available only for students who are admitted to PG degree programme through ‘Regular/Full Time’ mode.
• Students need to be below the age of 30 years as of the date of admission in the first semester/year of a PG program.
• Students must have an annual family income of less than INR 2,50,000 from all sources.
• The scholarship is available only for students who are pursuing recognized PG degree programmes leading to specified PG degrees notified by UGC from time to time.

Application Process

• Applications will be invited once in a year on the National e-Scholarship Portal of the Government of India.
• Students need to submit an application form ONLINE only.

Additional Information

Scholarship granted under the scheme will be kept renewed during the period of first degree course, subject to good conduct and maintenance of prescribed attendance.
