The Sullivan Scholarship at Seattle University The Sullivan Scholarship is a prestigious full-tuition, housing, food, and fees scholarship awarded to two students each year who are currently attending Jesuit or Catholic high schools. With a rich history spanning over 35 years, the Sullivan Scholarship is entering a new phase aimed at nurturing top scholars, preparing them to compete for esteemed postgraduate fellowships such as the Watson, Fulbright, Rhodes, and others. The program focuses on academic excellence, mentorship, leadership, and community engagement, with a commitment to developing future leaders and innovators.

Eligibility Criteria

• Competitive applicants for the Sullivan Scholarship should meet the following criteria: Be currently attending a Jesuit or Catholic high school in the US or abroad.
• Submit the Common Application to Seattle University by January 15.
• Demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence with a rigorous class schedule, and typically have an unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.7 or higher.
• Show proven leadership and a commitment to service, global engagement, and active involvement in their community.
• Eligible students will receive an invitation to apply via email and through their Redhawk Admissions Portal.

• Years One and Two: Sullivan Scholars are automatically admitted to Seattle University’s University Honors Program and the Matteo Ricci Institute (for most programs).

• Years Three and Four: As scholars advance, the program becomes the home base for their academic growth, offering a specialized and focused environment for continued development.
