The Hampton Scholars Scholarship honors students who achieve academically and embody the passion of Dr. Claudia H. Hampton, the first African American trustee of California State University. It was established in her honor.

Eligibility for Hampton Scholars Scholarship at California State University

• Candidates must be CAMS (California Academy of Mathematics and Science) graduates.
• Applicants must demonstrate financial need as deemed right by the campus financial aid office.
• Candidates must have a strong academic record.
• Throughout the award, recipients must continue to be full-time equivalent students at California State University.
