The Burr G. & Virginia G. Burbank Physics Scholarship will provide financial support to current department graduate students who teach Physics & Astronomy laboratory classes as GTAs (Graduate Teaching Associates).

Eligibility Criteria for the Burr G. & Virginia G. Burbank Physics Scholarship at San Francisco State University

• Applicants must: Be graduate (Master’s) students in Physics or Physics with Astronomy concentration.
• Be GTAs teaching at least one Physics & Astronomy lab class.
• Be enrolled in or have passed PHYS 885.
• Be enrolled in a PHYS/ASTR course and in at least 3 graduate units.
• May receive only one award per academic year, max 3 years.
