• Applicants must: Hold Refugee or Asylum Seeker status and be currently living in the UK. Have applied for or received asylum through the UK Home Office OR be actively appealing a negative decision.
• Have come to the UK through recognised schemes such as: UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS) Afghan citizens Resettlement Scheme Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (VPRS) Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme (Homes for Ukraine) Ukraine Family Scheme Be located in the UK with Home or RUK fee status.
• Have a conditional or unconditional offer for full-time study at the University of Glasgow for 2026/27.

Value of Sanctuary Scholarships at University of Glasgow 2026

Full tuition fee waiver for the duration of study, where you are not eligible to apply for mainstream student finance to cover full tuition fees. £5,000 per year towards study costs.
