Eligibility Criteria for John Orr Award at University of Edinburgh 2026

• The award is available for students applying to postgraduate taught Masters or Masters by Research degree programs.
• Applicants must: Be new applicants who have applied for admission to a postgraduate taught Masters or Masters by Research degree program in Romance literature, language, or dialect at the University.
• Commence studies in September 2026.
• Have, or expect to obtain, the equivalent of a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at the undergraduate level and/or master's level.
• Preference may be given to applicants working in language studies, including but not limited to: French Spanish Portuguese Catalan Italian D ocuments Required: Two references.
• The candidate's CV must be submitted.
• Research Proposal.
• Outline the current methodology and an explanation as to why it is important and authentic.
• Statement of financial support currently received or applied for and its duration.
