Student Merit Scholarships are open to all F-1 and J-1 VISA students studying at the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV). The scholarship provides a waiver in tuition fees, which would decrease the tuition fee which equals resident tuition. Other costs are not included in the scholarship.

• Eligibility Criteria for International Student Merit Scholarship at University of Houston-Victoria 2025: Applicants must identify as international students.
• Applicants must remain enrolled full-time at the university.
• Applicants who are returning or current students must fulfil the following criteria: Must have two semesters left before graduation.
• Have a CGPA of 2.5 or above for undergraduate students and a CGPA of 3.0 or above for graduate students Applicants must have a demonstrated record of academic achievement.
