• Scholarship value: Partial Funding, Varies On April 4, 1921, John W. Reynolds, a resident of Green Bay, Wisconsin, was born. He never wavered in his devotion to his native Wisconsin, graduating from Green Bay East High School and the University of Wisconsin with a Ph. D. in economics. He served in the American Army for four years before returning to the University of Wisconsin to earn his law degree in 1949.
• This marked the start of a lifelong and devoted connection he would have for the University.
• Following his legal practice in Green Bay, he held positions as United States Commissioner for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and District Director for the Office of Price Stabilization.
