The Deaton Family Memorial Scholarship was created by Dianne Vielhuber in loving memory of her father, Richard “Dick” Deaton. His lifelong passion for agriculture encompassed growing up on a farm, becoming very involved in the dairy industry throughout his professional career, judging cattle at county and local fairs, and being involved in agricultural organizations, including youth organizations.

• Eligibility for the Deaton Family Memorial Scholarship at the University of Wisconsin: Open to all nationals.
• Applicants can be: Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors. Applicants must be enrolled in a Dairy Science course at the university.
