The MIT International Excellence Scholarship was conceived as a direct result of MIT’s desire to create an environment where students from around the world can be inspired and achieve excellence. This scholarship is available only to international students who are commencing an undergraduate or postgraduate program in either of the two trimesters: March or July (excludes November trimester) at MIT.

• Eligibility criteria for the MIT International Excellence Scholarship: Applicants must be classed as international students.
• Applicants must be commencing international students for the trimester to which the benefit applies.
• Applicants must submit IELTS (academic) results with an overall score of 7.0 with no band less than 6.5.
• Applicants must not be sponsored by organizations or governments.
• Undergraduate applicants must have completed Australian Year 12 or an equivalent with an overall grade average of 70% or more, with no individual result below 65%, and have no fail grades recorded.
• Postgraduate applicants must have completed a minimum Australian three-year undergraduate degree or overseas equivalent (NOOSR guide) with an overall grade average of 70% or more, with no individual result below 65%, and have no fail grad

Eligible candidates must submit a complete MIT International Excellence Scholarship Form at the time of the admission application.

The application should include a 500-800 word essay outlining why receipt of the scholarship is important.
