Eligibility
- To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be studying in classes 1 to 10 on a full-time basis
- be a child/ward of parents/guardians who are manual scavengers as defined under section 2(1)(g) of the Manual Scavengers Act 2013
- be a child/ward of parents/guardians who are tanners and flayers
- waste pickers
- engaged in hazardous cleaning as defined in section 2(1)(d) of the Manual Scavengers Act 2013
- not hold any other educational scholarship
Benefits
Selected students will receive:- ₹3,500 for day scholars ₹8000 for hostellers in Classes 3-10
Note
An extra 10% allowance shall be given to Divyang students.
