To be eligible, an applicant must:- be a resident of India be between 17 - 25 years of age (undergraduate) or as per the institution's criteria (postgraduate) be top performers in the institution admission process through national-level exams be admitted to the first year of specific, full-time degree programs in selected institutions demonstrate activity in clubs, sports, community service, research or other extracurricular activities have an annual family income not exceeding ₹35,00,000 as evidenced by the financial year 2024
