The Research Masters Scholarship provides financial support for excellent students undertaking a master’s thesis in any discipline at the University of Waikato.

Eligibility for the University of Waikato Research Masters Scholarship

Be enrolled or intending to enrol full-time in their first master's degree with a 90- or 120-point thesis (593 or 594).
Have made contact with a potential thesis supervisor at the University of Waikato.
Be one of the following: NZ Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Resident Visa holder Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident living in NZ International student who has completed (or will complete) 120 points at a NZ university by the application deadline May have already started their thesis (stipend will be adjusted based on time remaining).
Part-time applicants are eligible but will receive a reduced scholarship value.
