Eligibility

  • To be eligible, an applicant must:-
  • have completed their postgraduate studies, preferably in the field of humanities and social sciences
  • be passionate and committed towards social change

Benefits

  • Selected candidates will receive:-
  • A monthly stipend of up to ₹20,000
  • Travelling and dearness allowance (TA/DA)
  • A fellowship completion certificate
  • “Award of Excellence” for meritorious candidates

How to Apply

Eligible candidates can apply for the fellowship through the following steps:-

  1. 1Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
  2. 2Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. ( Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
  3. 3Click on the application form PDF link to download the application form.
  4. 4Fill in the required information.
  5. 5Attach the required documents with the application form and send it to the director of Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti through the email: ‘2010gsds@gmail.com’ before the application deadline.

Selection Process

  • Academic achievement, leadership potential, and a thorough comprehension of Gandhian philosophy will all be considered in the selection process. Candidates pursuing research degrees or with fieldwork experience will be given preference, as will those who speak more than one Indian language in addition to English.
  • The shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interaction with a selection committee under the chairmanship of the director.

  • A passport-size photograph of the applicant
  • A duly filled application form
  • A one-page motivation note for the fellowship
  • A one-page note on the understanding of Gandhian philosophy and familiarity with Gandhian organisations
