Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
be a full-time Ph.D. research scholar
have confirmed Ph.D. registration at Goa University
have at least a second class at the graduate level
hold a master’s degree with a minimum of 55% or equivalent grade from Goa University or any other institution recognised by Goa University
have completed no more than 8 terms on the date of application
not hold any other scholarships or studentships

The selected candidates will receive financial assistance to carry out their research work.

-
The fellowship is awarded for an initial period of two years.
Continuation for a third year is possible based on a committee's recommendation to the vice-chancellor.
To be considered for renewal, candidates must meet the following criteria: Demonstrate significant progress in their research work.
Have at least one publication in a journal included in the UGC CARE list.
Candidates must apply for a second-year continuation. This application will be assessed based on their research guide's recommendation regarding the research quality.
Recipients are required to return the fellowship amount if their Ph.D. registration is terminated or they cannot complete the program.
In such cases, a formal agreement outlining the repayment terms is mandatory.

3Read the details carefully and download the application form.
4Students must submit the application form along with certified copies of the required documents to their respective research guide. The research guide will then forward them to the directorate office.

The applications will be screened by the research student committee, and their decision will be final.
