To be eligible, an applicant must

be below 40 years of age (5 years relaxation for women and the reserved category) have obtained a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) from a highly reputable institution have strong academic credentials, demonstrated research potential, and curiosity to pursue original research have obtained a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) from institutions of high repute like Central Universities, IIMs, IITs, IISERs, IISc Bangalore, NITIE Mumbai, or an equivalent level in such other globally recognised Indian or foreign institutions

Note

- High-reputed institutions like Central Universities, IIMs, IITs, IISERs, IISc Bangalore, NITIE Mumbai, or an equivalent level in such other globally recognised Indian or foreign institutions of comparable standards as may be decided by IIM Amritsar

The selected candidate will receive the following awards

• A consolidated fellowship of ₹70,000 per month.
• A contingency grant of ₹30,000 per year.
• ₹1,75,000 (upper limit) for attending one international conference during their entire tenure with the post-doctoral program (this conference grant can be accessed only after completing the first year of the fellowship program and submitting one joint research paper with IIM Amritsar).
• Personal medical insurance is covered as per the institute’s student welfare policy.
• Post-doctoral fellows may be provided with teaching opportunities.
• The institute will pay an honorarium for such activities in addition to the fellowship.

• - Applicants are required to pay the application fees as follows:
• For SC and ST: ₹1,000
• For Differently abled candidates: ₹1,000
• For General, OBC and EWS: ₹1,500

Selection will be based on the following

• The applications will be evaluated based on candidates’ demonstrated research potential and fit with the research interests of IIM Amritsar faculty members.
• The shortlisted candidates will be invited to present their research work, research interests, and research proposal before the selection committee.
• A personal interview will follow the research presentation.
• The institute will offer a Post-Doctoral Fellowship to the selected candidates.
