To be eligible, a nominee must:- be a citizen of India have made distinguished contributions in engineering, engineering research, engineering education, technology development, engineering services, or management have achievements that are regarded as landmarks of technological excellence and have brought prestige to the nation

Note

- In case the nominee is an INAE Fellow, they must not be a member of the INAE Governing Council during the year of the award.
