The primary aim of the challenge is to provide innovative and practical solutions to the challenges of migration, blending theoretical analysis with real-world, actionable solutions that are grounded in academic competence and practical feasibility.

Eligibility criteria for The Geneva Challenge

  • Applicants must: Be graduate students (master’s level or equivalent) enrolled in a post-bachelor university program at the time of registration, with a maximum duration of 2 years.
  • Form teams of 3 to 5 students, offering an interdisciplinary approach or at least 2 different disciplinary perspectives.
  • Provide proof of enrollment for all team members (must include name, program, and issuance date within 3 months or validity beyond registration).
  • All team members must be enrolled at registration; exceptions may be made for students transitioning into graduate studies if already accepted into a graduate program

Value of The Geneva Challenge

First Prize: CHF 10,000 (for the top team). Second Place: CHF 5,000 (for each of two teams). Third Place: CHF 2,500 (for each of two teams).
