To be eligible, an applicant must:- not exceed 28 years of age as of 10 June 2025 hold a relevant Master's degree or have appeared in the final year for such a degree have sufficient knowledge about the specific field for which they want to apply for the fellowship have qualified NET/GATE/LS (CSIR/UGC/ICAR) have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (General and OBC applicants) have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (for SC/ST/PwBD applicants)

• Applicants interested in obtaining a fellowship from CSIR, UGC, or ICAR while working as Junior Research Fellows (JRF) in the MRFP are encouraged to apply.
• These candidates should indicate their fellowship preference in the online application form, specifying whether they wish to receive the MRFP or the CSIR/UGC/ICAR fellowship.
• The age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC, ST, Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) and women applicants, and 3 years for OBC (Non-creamy layer) applicants.
