Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must:- be below 36 years of age hold a Ph.D. degree in Physical or Mathematical Sciences at a recognised institution/university have completed the thesis defence at the time of application have significant overlap of research experience with the current research activities in the institute

Note

The candidates who have submitted their thesis will not be considered under this scheme.

Benefits

The selected fellows will receive a monthly fellowship in the below-mentioned manner:-

Category Amount per month (in ₹)

Fresh Ph.D. applicants 47,000

Post-doctoral experience (1 to 2 years) 49,000

Post-doctoral experience (more than 2 years) 54,000

The fellows will receive book grants up to ₹10,000 per annum, house rent, and medical facilities.

- IIA has limited accommodation for PDFs that will be provided subject to availability.

Selection Process

The Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) committee will review the applications and the selection will be made based on their performance in the interview and fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.
