The Deliberative Discourse Fellowship is awarded to incoming students at Heinz College who demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting diverse opinions and reducing polarization. To be eligible, you must be admitted to a full-time master's program at Heinz College and have a proven track record or interest in working on issues related to fostering open dialogue, encouraging diverse perspectives, and minimizing polarization in organizations or on college campuses. Benefits and Value The fellowship offers a scholarship of $2,000 per semester, which can total $4,000–$6,000 per academic year to help with non-tuition expenses. The recipient will work closely with the DICE Office on the Deliberative Discourse Initiative, gaining hands-on experience in creating spaces for diverse conversations and promoting thoughtful discussions.
