Eligibility Criteria for Deakin University Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship

  • Applicants must: Be a new international student applying for a Deakin coursework degree.
  • Meet all entry requirements for their chosen course, including English language requirements.
  • Have achieved a minimum 85% average (or equivalent) in previous academic studies.
  • Submit a completed scholarship application with required supporting documents.
  • Conditions of eligibility: Not available to students enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine (H911) program.
  • Meeting minimum eligibility does not guarantee selection — the process is competitive.
  • Applicants who are not selected will automatically be considered for the Deakin International Scholarship.

Value of Deakin University Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship

  • 100% or 50% tuition fee reduction, depending on scholarship outcome.
  • Participation in the Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program (VCPEP) (a mandatory component).
  • Priority access to on-campus accommodation (at own cost and subject to availability).
  • Scholarship valid for the normal duration of the chosen course.
