About the Scholarship

This scholarship, which bears the name of Professor Emeritus Harold Ford, the former dean of Melbourne Law School, was established as a joint effort by the law school, its graduates, and prominent lawyers who believed that law school ought to be accessible to all deserving students, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Eligibility Criteria

• Students should have applied for and been accepted into the Melbourne Juris Doctor program.
• Students should have applied under the "Disadvantaged socio-economic circumstances" category through Graduate Access Melbourne (GAM).
• Students need to be international fee-paying students.

Selection Criteria

• The scholarship is awarded based on demonstrated financial need.
• Application Process: An application is not necessary.
• This award will automatically be given to the student upon enrollment with the university.
• Value of the Scholarship: Up to AUD 30,000 towards tuition fees.
