• Scholarship value: Full Funding, up to AUD 120,000 Westpac Future Leaders Scholarships, 2026 are open to candidates with the potential to make a difference to Australia's future in one of our three focus areas: Sustainability, technology, and innovation Strengthening Australia-Asia ties Enabling positive social change
• The scholarship is worth up to AUD 120,000 towards research/coursework studies for about 2-3 years duration.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents.
• Applicants must complete their first undergraduate degree by 31 December 2026.
• Applicants must have achieved an average result of H1 or H2A equivalent or approx 75 WAM. Applicants must have chosen to undertake a full-time Master's by coursework or research or a PhD at one of the participating university partners.
• Applicants must commence study in 2026.
• Applicants must study in an area that will contribute to the future of Australia in one of the Trust's priority funding areas.
• Applicants must be able to attend the National Selection Panel to be held in Sydney on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 November.
• Be able to attend the Future Leaders Scholars Leadership Development Program in Sydney in mid-February and another date, to be confirmed, in 14 - 18 February 2027.

All eligible candidates must complete an online assessment sent to the host university along with the completed application.

The application should include two letters of reference.

The university's selection panel will shortlist the candidates.

Finalists will be invited to attend the National Assessment Centre in Sydney to be interviewed by a National Selection Panel.

Value of the Scholarship

The successful candidates are awarded a sum of up to AUD 120,000 towards the tuition and living expenses.
