Eligibility Criteria for Shimon Weinroth Prize in Poetry at University of Auckland 2026

• Applicants must: Produce the best piece of poetry demonstrating focus and commitment to writing poetry.
• Meet one of the following academic conditions in the year of consideration: Be awarded a PhD in Creative Practice with a focus on poetry, OR Achieve a B+ or higher in the Master of Creative Writing (with a focus on poetry), OR Complete a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) specialising in poetry (with a B+ or higher), OR Complete a Stage 3 course specializing in poetry (with a B+ or higher).
• Value of the Shimon Weinroth Prize in Poetry at University of Auckland 2026: The annual value of the Prize will be $600.

• Students are nominated to the Scholarships Office. No separate application is necessary.
• All eligible applicants will be automatically considered for the scholarship.
